Have just been doing some scanning and found that tinymce is installed in my wordpress but it doesn’t appear in my plugins – Is this a likely cause for the issue? I tried removing it via ftp but it says permission denied?

No, TinyMCE is part of WordPress core. I think you should consider hiring someone to clean up your installation instead: https://jobs.wordpress.net

Andrew, used unmaskparasites link and got the following results

Do you know how I go about removing the malicious ones?

The reason why I’m encouraging you to ignore the popup issue first is because removing them at this stage is pointless. At this stage, the hacker will just add them back in. This is because you are still hacked. First resolve the hack. There is not a tool that can resolve it for you, because resolving a backdoor is a painstaking process.

I would love to pay someone to do this for me, but unfortunately I can’t. I’m just trying to get my head around how to resolve this.

I must admit, I didn’t realise this was so severe.

    Thanks for your help Andrew.
