Please help: WordPress site suddenly down, cant log in CPanel, wp-admin, FTP

  • My other wordpress sites/other websites are working fine.

    I have used the theme I was working on previously. As I tried to add a portfolio category, wordpress logged me out (connection timeout). I tried to log in through FTP and CPanel but connection is timing out/server down message

    I have downloaded wordpress through Softaculous (used it previously). When I look at all the hosted sites, the one that went down does not have a wordpress logo on it anymore so I suspect wordpress specifically on this site crashed.

    Has this happened before? I really need to get this site up and running!

  • It seems more like a server problem… I wouldn’t say it has anything to do with WordPress. I can’t even ping the server – contact your hosting company.

    all other sites I am hosting with onlydomains are working fine… Could it be a problem just with this site?

    I am not a coder ??

    Yes you were right… Thankfully I could speak to a human being even on a public holiday and they apologised …. the server is down for another 30 minutes and just the server this site is on.
