I want to do set up a bid where they can bid by check or Bid Now. I clicked payment option for both check and PayPal. I have activated the things in PayPal that you said to do. I clicked the “Only if they are logged in” button under the Allow users to bid as the software requested. I put in the software under PayPal: PayPal e-mail address my e-mail address. When someone tries to bid whether price or Buy Now it takes someone to a screen to sign into WordPress. How do bidders sign into WordPress? Does each bidder need to set up a password into WordPress in order to bid? Earlier I had the “without the login as well” checked and a friend tested and it worked but the information was open to the public. He could not go into the Buy Now because he did not know how to sign into WordPress.

I really would appreciate you looking at my website and recommending what I do. I appreciate what you are doing is a lot of work. I just wish I had you sitting here with me a couple of minutes at my computer to fix the few things I do not understand.

  • hi,

not sure about plugin functionality, however if you are asking users to be logged in – they should login into WordPress anyway. Though, you can open a registration for users.
However I would recommend to get some front-end login plugin to avoid any confuses of your users. GL.

    Hi,

I am sorry but I am lost. Bidders are directed to the WP where they must set up a password. I do not know how to make it do otherwise. Bidders are not going to was to set up a password with WP. I do not know how to put in a front-end plugin. Thankful for any help. I wish buy now would send them directly to buying through paypal and those registering could register somehow and pay by check.

    hi,

as an option you can use https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/tags/front-end-login however it will require extra configuration

you can skype me for further help

    Hi Willis Miller,

When the setting is enabled to allow users to bid Only if they are logged in then the user is redirected to WordPress default login page.

If the users are not registered they will not be able to login and will have to register first.

To enable the registeration link you can go to WP Dashboard -> settings -> General -> Membership -> enable anyone can register.
Now the users can register first and login through the details send via email when redirected to login page.

Also, you can set the custom page URL for login and registeration pages in settings provided by plugin.

Just curious to know if you resolved your problem. I had the same issue. i used Paid membership pro plugin. Just youtube it and it’ll explain how to set it up. If you are only looking to mask the WP login screen..just A5 custom login page..youtube it.
