For those interested, broken layout bug has been reported. https://meta.trac.www.ads-software.com/ticket/20

It occurs when people don’t wrap their “li” elements in “ul” elements.

I realise this, but, in my opinion, it’s still a bug that should be looked into. User’s don’t necessarily know enough about HTML to wrap
elements with
, nor should they have to really. I’ve seen broken layouts several times on the forums now as a result of this.

@siobhyb: If you can fix this here (which is a custom version of the original bbPress, btw) more power to you! However, if you do start tinkering, be warned…

    It’s Very, Very Long.

Describe the issue in the ticket, we don’t purposely leave broken threads like these open to the public.

I would if it was Otto testing. I am so not going to argue with a Ninja! If it can help to fix some of the annoying issues we see every day, one broken thread is a fair trade-off, IMO.

Thanks @esmi. I’m far from being a ninja.

@nacin linked me to the meta.trac site a few weeks ago, and he then went on to fix a styling issue on the make.www.ads-software.com forums that had been reported on it. This is why I thought I should post a ticket there when I found this styling issue on the forums. I obviously got this wrong, I’m still learning. If the dev team have already been made aware of the bug previously then I’ll “unbreak” the thread.

No probs. I’m not sure what the situation is regarding updates/fixes for these forums. Otto would be the best person to ask about it.

Thanks will try to find out.
