    My site shop, built with woocommerce has stopped working. everytime you proceed to checkout and click place order you get “sorry, your session has expired. return to shop”.

    im using divi on my site but ive tried with regular wordpress theme and it did not work. my hosting provider said they saw no errors. ive checked each plugin and nothing fixed it. they said it was woocommerce configuration.

    Hey there!

    That sounds like your site is clearing out the WooCommerce cart sessions way too quickly. This is typically something your host can help with.

    Can you please send a link to your site? This is always the first step in getting help.

    Woocommerce uses cookies for user session validation and maybe your browser has some errors with cookies

    This is not likely a browser issue, but your server. Your server is likely clearing the cookie/sessions.

    Here’s some info that you can send to your host to tell them exactly what’s going on: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-cookies/

    You’ll need to talk to your host, more than likely, as they will help you figure out what’s going on with your site/server.

    Hey andrew, thanks for your time again.

    I have talked to them and have a support ticket with them but they last told me to get a developer and to try each plugin. which i have done

    not resolved. ill just restart with my shop. and delete woocommerce

    I’ve been having this problem last 2-3 days now. Nothing has changed recently, except plugin updates. I though a recent plugin update caused this, so I restored the whole website from an auto-backup more than a week ago (well past the point where I had my last successful checkout). But now I’m still getting “Sorry, your session has expired. Return to shop” whenever I checkout.

    WC 4.2.0
    WC Services 1.23.2
    Divi Theme 4.4.8
    Divi Child 3.0.106.1523566676

    I have no caching plugins installed.

    Using Tools provided by WooCommerce, I’ve cleared things like transients, orphaned variations etc, regenerated product lookup tables, updated database etc.

    I read through the two pages you linked to above, but could not work out what settings need to change at the host.

    I still can’t make this go away. Orders are logged into the back-end, but client still receives the “Sorry, your session has expired. Return to shop” after checkout.
