Structure

  • I REALLY hope that someone will use a couple of minutes to help me, so I can finish my blog, I have tried and tried and tried and tried

    I have mad a blog with this menu on the front page:
    HOME
    PHOTOS
    REFLECTIONS AND MORE
    TRAVELS

    But no matter how many submenues I make, they do not show up.

    And when I make a new post, it is plavced on the front page. How can I decide on which page to place it?

    Please add a couple of sub-menu items; there are none currently on your site.

    SETTINGS->READING defines your front page. Current, it’s set to show all posts. If you want something else, select a page to use on that options panel.

    I have made two new pages: “USA 2017” and “Istanbul 2016”, defined “Travels” as their parent and added them to the menu – but they do not show….

    There are no submenu items for travels. Can you post a screenshot of your appearance->menus page? put the screenshot on imgur.com and paste the link here. Make sure the menu you’re using is the one designated as your themes main or primary menu.

    Look at the “menu settings” area at the bottom. You need to make that your primary menu so it is actually used.

    But if I write a post and check “USA 2017” it does not show up there. What do I do wrong?

    If USA 2017 is a category, then you need to add a category to your menu, not a page.

    Look for the “categories” on the left on appearance->menus. If you don’t see it, click “screen options” at the top right of that page and enable it.

    Now, my next challenge is to make a photo gallery. Do you know any that you can recommend?
