Please provide changed files upgrade pack/ patch files

    Why don’t you provide us with changed files only archive to make upgrades faster & simpler? Why don’t you provide us with patch files, so those who have ssh access could update even heavily modified installations with one command? I don’t understand this… I analyzed differencies between version 2.8.1 and 2.8.2 – only 10 files have changed (\wp-admin\includes\comment.php, \wp-admin\includes\template.php, \wp-admin\comment.php, \wp-admin\edit-form-comment.php, \wp-content\plugins\akismet\akismet.php, \wp-content\plugins\akismet\readme.txt, \wp-includes\comment-template.php, \wp-includes\default-widgets.php, \wp-includes\version.php, \readme.html), so why download & upload all of them?

  • I sure agree with the above and BTW, thanks for the list of changed files, this will save me a lot of time.

    I simply overwrote the 10 files using my FTP client and that was it. Updated and works like a charm.
