The top-level menu of the dashboard gets kind of long on a lot of websites. Please place your settings screen under the Settings menu. Yours is a fine plugin; it just isn’t something I’m going to change settings on so often that it needs to be always visible on the dashboard.

We also don’t need separate menu items for contacting you, the support forum, and upgrading. These can be links on your settings screen.

    Thanks.

Hi @tylertork, we’d had this request before, and we’ve tried placing the settings for our plugin under Settings, but some people’s Settings bar is so long, it isn’t shown on their screen, or they are not able to find our plugin options page because they are not used to looking under Settings, so we have to balance it out for the many other users that affect our support load. Also, we have multiple pages under our menu item, which doesn’t work well under the Settings menu.

With the new version of our platform SDK, there is an option to show one menu item with tabs on it, so we may explore switching to that, and see if people like it better, and if it allows us to simplify our options to one page with tabs, and place it under Settings.

I believe there are plugins that allow you to customize and control the admin menu, perhaps try that and see if it helps minimize the number of menu items you see, try looking at this one:

Thanks for sending us your request, and we’ll take another look at our settings options and how it would affect the majority of our users.
