Please read before posting after update to 6.0.0

Note: Fixed Widget is a volunteer project done in my spare time. However, I will look at your issues as quickly as possible during this update phase.

Version 6.0.0 is a complete rewrite of the Fixed Widget frontend scripts. It resolves a lot of edge cases and also makes the plugin compatible with WordPress 5.8 and above.

With such a large rewrite, things might break.

This is why the biggest changes are only applied if you enable the “Test new version” option in the Fixed Widget options. This ought to be the new default option, though, with tens of thousands of themes, I wanted everyone to have a chance to test it and give us feedback.

When you experience issues after the update, please first clear your website cache, including anything that minifies or caches scripts, as well as your browser cache.

If issues persist, please open a new thread here in the forum with a description of the problem and a link to your site so that we can investigate. Please don’t reply to someone else’s thread since this makes it hard for me to keep track.

If you need to downgrade immediately then you can get earlier releases from here.
