Please recommend a good editor

First, I am very new to WP.
I have tried several editor plugins;
PlugNedit [apparently does not work well with 3.6x]
WPeditor [didn’t help much]
Rich Tax description editor [not sure what it does].
I need an editor for working with pages that gives me font, size, color, etc control, where the built-in editor is very limiting.

Can someone recommend an editor that will give me, hopefully, MS Word type editing capability?
