Please stop redesigning the interface!!!!

  • Putting the publish button at the bottom is such a nightmare. I work on a laptop and having the choices and publish button on the site was much better. The new design is a real PAIN!

    Also, there has to be a way to wrap photos and do hard returns. I put in all sorts of code and it strips out. I have to use periods and returns.

  • Doesn’t SHIFT + ENTER do a hard return for you? I think that’s what you may need. Also my publish button is on the side not at the bottom. I am using the latest what are you using?

    As of 2.7, the Publish button, in the Publish module, can be placed on the side, on the bottom, and in one or two columns using a combination of drag and drop and Screen Options. If your button is at the bottom, it means you moved it there or installed a plugin that changed the default order, since the default placement is in the upper right of the screen next to the title.

    I installed WP about 6 months ago and was fine with the admin interface as-is, but for some reason I logged in to the panel this morning, and it is completely different. I have not upgraded or anything, but the admin section is completely different from about a month ago. Anyone has ideas as to how that can change on its own? I’m the only admin and did not change the look. Thanks.

    SHIFT+ ENTER did not do it. i had to put a return and a period which looks bad.
