I like the retro-styling and blocks of solid color. It has personality.
I have a few suggestions to make it easier on the eyes:
? The calendar page draws more attention than the title, since it’s such a large chunk of white. I’d recommend darkening it, i.e. replacing the white with one of the lighter greens you use in the bars at the bottom of each post.
? It would look cleaner if you didn’t allow the text of a post to go futher to the right than the edge of the bars at the bottom of each post.
? Using white for links with black normal text is a little too disjointed for my eyes— notice the recent comments section. I’d try a darker color for the links, but leave the posts titles as they are.
? Perhaps the bullet points in the sidebar should be that red color you use elsewhere, to tie everything together.
Please don’t take this as being over critical. I’ve pointed these things out, because overall, i like what i see. Keep up the good work.
