When you report a problem or ask for help with this plugin, it helps us greatly if you upload your (anonymized) database metadata and tell us the upload id in your topic post.

You can do this by visiting the plugin’s Dashboard Page. From your site’s Dashboard, go to Tools > Index MySQL. Then choose the About tab and click the Upload button.

Or, with wp-cli, give the command wp index-mysql upload_metadata.

If you have a performance problem the plugin does not seem to help, please capture a monitor and then upload it. Instructions are here.

And, the best way to improve relational database performance is use it less often. Adding a Persistent Object Cache (for example, with redis or memcached) makes your WordPress site use MySQL or MariaDB much less often. Please consider this.
