    I’ll try that shortly…thanks

ok, I deleted the files. Then I went to upload them one by one.

I selected the first file and clicked upload and the response was successful but no fonts appeared in the font list in the plugin. so is there a permissions issue?

Sounds like it. Try setting the directory for the fonts to 777 unless you have access to chown it to the user your web server is running as.

    I chmod’d the fonts dir to 0777
    I chown’d it to nobody
and I chgrp’d it to nobody as well

There were fonts in the dir even though the plugin did not show them

    So I deleted the fonts

Then I used the plugin settings UI to upload and they will not upload

where does the fonts directory get defined in the plugin? wondering if I can force then fonts into the proper directory somehow…

    Thread Starter frank tredici

    (@frank13)

so then I ftp uploaded the fonts into the fonts directory on the server using my FTP/IDE (ST3)

I went to the FC Settings and the fonts did not get listed

So I deactivated and reactivated the plugin

The fonts still do not appear in the list on the plugin setting page

Yet they are on the server chmod’d 0777 and chown’d/chgrp’d as nobody

    No success

    Thread Starter frank tredici

    (@frank13)

then I did a site plugin-wide search on “fonts/” and found reference to fc-fonts directory so I FTP uploaded the fonts to the server into an fc-fonts directory — no success

Can you try a more convenient protection against spam?

    I got it to work.

    I was focused on ../wp-content/plugins/flexible-captcha/fonts/

The home for the fonts files is actually ../wp-content/uploads/fc-fonts/

Yeah the fonts are stored in the uploads directory so you can upload different font files and not lose the default fonts. Glad you got it working. ??

I have tried all the solution like enabling GD library with free type support and deleting and uploading font files from FTP at ../wp-content/uploads/fc-fonts/ and also making fc-fonts directory 0777 but with no luck. Images are still not rendering. My website captcha link is https://estrikers.com/career/php-mysql-programmer-job/
    Please help me ASAP.

When I go to the url for your captcha image I get a page instead of an image. Go to the settings page and make sure there are fonts and colors listed. Also make sure there is a value in the request key field. Are you getting any errors in your error log? You should create a new topic for this.

    Hi,
earlier there were fonts in …/wp-content/uploads/fc-fonts/ directory but it was not displaying in setting page. I have deleted fonts in this direcory from FTP and uploaded again from the UI at setting page. Now fonts are displaying at setting page but still captcha images is not rendering. Also I have checked that my captcha table es_FC_captcha_store table is empty.
Request key, font colors are present.
