I’m using WPForms Lite 1.8.7.2, updated yesterday. The WPForms menu item doesn’t appear in WP Admin, and if I try to access directly (/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpforms-overview) I get the “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.” message. I am running WordPress 6.4.3 using MultiSite. Since I cannot access the WPForms page I’m not able to determine if I have configured the plugin to delete or preserve data on uninstall so I have not tried to reinstall the plug-in.

I have a staging site also with the same configuration which auto-updated the plug-in and it is also not working there. Also I am running 1.8.6.4 on a local dev machine with the same multi-site configuration, and it IS working fine.

There are no errors logged in the error_log in the root directory of my site. No pages using WPForms shortcodes display the forms, just the shortcode tag. I do have several filters/hooks used for processing WPForms workflows.

Please let me know if you need additional details, I will continue to debug on my staging site to see if there are other plug-ins that are interfering.

Update: I did a network deactivation, which left the plug-in active on the primary site and it began working again. I did some additional troubleshooting, and here is how to repro the error:

    1. Network Deactivate WPForms
    2. Activate WPForms directly from a single website (not network admin).
    3. Return to network admin, perform a network activate.

Results: Plugin fails on initial website.

Note: Network activation without a prior site activation works as expected.

Experiencing the same issue on a multisite installation. The solution for the moment is indeed to network de-activate from the main site and activate individually on the individual sites.

Adding that my primary multisite is also missing the plugin now. And it breaks the forms as well. If network enabled, no primary site, but all others work. If network disabled, it is the opposite.
