I was trying to test out a new piecemaker like I have in the
past through our 1newidea account. I added my images through the
assests, made the pages, but this time I was trying to add links to a
    facebook page.

When I did this, it gave me this error.
Fatal error: Call to a member function children() on a non-object in
/home8/onenewid/public_html/wp-content/plugins/piecemaker/piecemaker-main.php on line 1747. I never touched that code at all, I was changing it through the piecemaker which is what is confusing me.
It now will not even let me get to my old piecemaker at all. All I can
get to is my assets. I expected:
That it would allow me to still get to my other piecemaker, but it is
not. Everytime I click on the piecemakers that error pops up. But what
confuses me is that my old piecemaker is still up and running as you
can see on 1newidea.com on the home page. So I am unsure why I cannot
get back to the test piecemaker I was making and just delete it since
it is what messed up the piecemakers in the first place obviously. I tried logging out and just logging back in thinking that might fix it, but it is not.

If you could please tell me how I can get it so I can get into my
piecemakers so I can delete that piecemaker and be able to edit the
the other piecemaker if need be.

  • <h1>Silly question, but did you use https:// at the beginning of your link?</h1>

Im getting the same exact fatal error. I even removed the piecemaker plugin and re-installed it, no luck.

@techhampton – I did not put “https://&#8221; at the begining of my link, and I am almost certain that this is the cause. How
    can I undo this?

    Thanks,
    Wagdi

I want to call Piecemaker 2 function and run an PM2-ID from a PHP file like “index.php“.

    How can I do that?

This might have been posted, but if you’re like me and wondering why SWF and MP4 isn’t working on Piecemaker 2 in your WordPress site. At least in my problem, it has to do with the image source path within the XML <Image Source=”contents/video-preview.jpg”/>. The plug in doesn’t provide for this on SWF and videos so you have to go into the XML in the piecemaker folder under wp-includes. Find the the SWF or video path and you will see the <Image Source=”(blank)”/>. Get a image for your SWF or video and uploaded, copy the path and paste here. It’s kinda in the doc, but took me a while to understand how this apply to WordPress.
    Good luck, hope this helps.

    Error.. public_html/wp-content/plugins/piecemaker/piecemaker-main.php on line 1747..

Search everywhere for a fix. None of the sort! So after some playing around success!!

    First uninstall the plugin, Piecemaker.
Then go to your server and make sure the files are removed from the plugin directory.
Then, log into your SQL manager like PHP Admin and find the SQL database.
You should see in the list of tables, wp_piecemakers & wp_piecemaker_img.
you need to delete/drop these tables.

Then re-install the Piecemaker plugin and all should be fixed.

You will, however, lose any data you previously had in the plugin. But gets you running again.
