    Hi,
When deactivated, the plug-in completely removed the admin area menu.
Have you had a similar experience?

    Thanks

Hmm, that’s not supposed to happen. Can you access the plugin settings page? Even if you can’t see the admin menu, you might still be able to enter the page URL manually. It’s usually something like this (replace example.com with your site):

    https://example.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=menu_editor

If you can get to the page, verify that the “Show the admin menu” option is turned on. Usually it’s enabled by default.

    Hello Janis,
thank you for your prompt reply,

But… where is the “Show the admin menu” option located in your plug-in?

    Thank you

Oops, I forgot to consider that you might be using the free version which doesn’t have that option. My apologies.

In the Pro version, the “Show the admin menu” checkbox is on the right side of the settings page, below “Save Changes” and other buttons. If you don’t see it there, you have a version that can’t hide the entire admin menu.

That means there must be something else going on, like a plugin or theme conflict. Are you using an admin theme or any other plugins that change the appearance of the admin menu? As a test, please try temporarily deactivating plugins like that.

    Wow Janis,
Thank you so much for support.

    I found the issue.
There seems to be a conflict between the two plugins
Admin Menu Editor & CQPIM Project Management
When I disable the CQPIM plugin and then deactivate your Admin Menu Editor, then everything is fine and my admin menu is intact.
But the moment I activate CQPIM, the menu disappears.

Thank you so much for all your time and effort.

    Sure, glad to help.

By the way, I purchased a copy of CQPIM Project Management for testing purposes. I wasn’t able to reproduce the problem with the default plugin settings. However, there is something that I noticed while looking at CQPIM source code: it includes a function that hides all admin menus except “CQPIM” from users with CQPIM-related roles, e.g. team members and clients.

Perhaps, if the “CQPIM” menu was also hidden somehow – like by changing CQPIM settings or using Admin Menu Editor – you could end up with a completely empty admin menu. If you need to use these two plugins together, this could be something worth investigating.

    Good morning Jānis,
I just wanted to touch base and let you know that all of a sudden everything is working fine.
During the period that I had this issue, the admin bar (on top) had also disappeared, but for some strange reason the bar appeared again and now when I deactivate the Admin Menu Editor, everything works fine.
It was a strange quirk, but if and when it happens again I’ll make sure to dig deeper and try to troubleshoot the issue.
Thank you again for your support.
    Best
    Tom D.
