• I manage a website for a bowling club. The club has 2 greens and each green has 3 occupancy periods per day. I need a plugin which will display what is happening on each green in each occupancy period. Preferable display would be one week. i.e. it will display as a table with the day on horizontal rows and 6 columns as follows green 1 morning, afternoon, evening, then green 2 morning, afternoon evening.
It needs to be easy for editors to enter new events, whilst the website visitor needs to view the current week by default but be able to select other weeks if they wish.
It’s not going to be a classic calendar plugin nor does a room occupancy plugin seem appropriate. Does anyone know of a plugin, preferably free, which will do what I need?
    Thanks in advance.

I think any calendar plugin would do this easily. Check “All In One Event Calendar” and “The Events Calendar”.

Thank you for your suggestions, but my issue is one of how the information is displayed. As far as I can tell, most calendar plugins display, well, a calendar. In other words, it’s a calendar with events added to it. What I want is the location as the primary sort. So, green 1 and green 2 as the primary blocks and then each of these blocks divided into 3 time periods. This would constitute a row, say Monday, and then this would be repeated below for each day of the week. Match fixtures could then be added into each block. The idea is that at a glance you could see that on green 1 on Tuesday afternoon team A from anywhere land is playing team B from blogs town and on green 2 on wednesday evening team C from anywhere land is playing team D from Blogs town. I’d draw you a diagram if I could fathom out how to put it in this box. I haven’t seen any demo’s of calendar plugins with this type of display and wading through what feels like hundreds of different sets of documentation is very time consuming. I was just hoping that someone reading this would know a plugin that does this.
    Thanks.

You could write a function that uses the shortcodes from the Events Manager plugin to display events by location:

    https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/shortcodes/

It may take a little customization, but I think you can do something similar for each of the plugins.

Steven (or anyone else), I guess I’m not technically aware enough to write a shortcode.
I have created what I need in a table, and you can view this here
However, whilst this is fine as far as it goes, I need it to open to the current week by default. As it stands, each week will be on a separate page and viewers would have to search to find the right week. I also need it to be easy for the Club Secretary to update the information and indeed to upload it in the first place. A table does mean a csv file can be uploaded.
    Any help gratefully received.
    Thanks.
