Plug In to Display horizontal thumbs of featured stories?

I have looked and looked and have yet to find what I’m looking for. There are lots of featured content sliders but very few that display the thumbs and titles horizontally. What i mean by this is visible on the story pages of two sites below. For example:
6 horizontal:

3 horizontal:
https://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/06/20/national/main20072561.shtmlYou see near the top of the story pages there is a horizontal section with the top/featured stories. This is what I’m looking for.
Anyone seen a plugin that can do this? I have been unable to find one. Thanks!
