Plug-in updater issues with 4.3?

Ever since I updated to 4.3, the plug-in updater seems to not refresh the screen?
It starts with the maintenance mode message and the displays that is updating the first plug-in, but then the screen never changes, even though it does ultimately update everything. Is there a way to resolve this? Every time I worry about whether it is really done or stalled, before I switch screens
