Plug-ins and collecting user info

    Hi,

    I’m creating a privacy policy for a website and had a few question that might be very basic knowledge.
    I’m aware that some plug-ins collect info, like Google Analytics, but in general do most
    plug-ins also collect user info?

    Another question is if they do, can plug-ins collect info about the user without the user giving his information, like for example their IP address? And if so, what other information can they collect without a user giving it up readily?
