  • Looked like a great add-on but the need to have it access linksalpha is the reason we will not use it.

You should view it as authorizing an application on Facebook/Twitter. Our application LinksAlpha.com uses this authorization only for publishing your content to Facebook and Twitter, while providing the best user experience compared to any other similar plugin.

“You should view it as authorizing an application on Facebook/Twitter”

Unfortunately, this isn’t what you’re actually doing. You’re actually forcing those who use your plugin to needlessly sign up to a 3rd party service – which conveniently limits you to 5 social network accounts before charging for the privilege.

I don’t have a problem with you making money from it but I do have a problem with you cracking on all innocent.

@philkershaw “conveniently limits you to 5 social network accounts before charging for the privilege” applies to users who use another LinksAlpha Product – Network Publisher. Let me know if you face any issues with 1-click Retweet/Share/Like. This is a free service and will remain free.

    Thanks for keeping it free.

    Thumbs up.

So for anyone who clicks the ‘share’ button for facebook, they have to ‘allow’ the links alpha facebook app correct??

I’ve just uninstalled it for this reason as well.
