[Plugin: 6Scan Security] Still Scanning after Deactivation

    Hello,

    After disabling 6Scan, I believe your Cloud Service is still scanning my site. I keep receiving alerts from another plugin ‘Better WP Security version 3.2.6’ that an I.P. address of 95.211.58.114, is trying to open files that do not exist. Most of these files are ‘readme.txt’ from plugins I don’t use.

    How do I stop your service from scanning my site?

    Hi dukejames27,

    When you disable the 6Scan plugin, we aren’t always able to detect this, so yes, we may continue scanning your site for vulnerabilities.

    However, if you uninstall (delete) the 6Scan plugin from your WordPress admin panel, this will automatically stop any scans on your site.

    Thanks 6scan (Nitzan).

    After disabling the plugin, maybe 3 or 4 days later I started getting an automated e-mail stating that 6scan cannot be found on my site. It was counting down the days that it would stop scanning my site if 6scan wasn’t eventually found.

    Eventually the e-mails and scans stopped coming.
