• Hi, do you still maintain this plugin?

    The WP repository now says:

This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.

And because the last update is 2+ years ago, WordFence says

The Plugin “Search & Replace” appears to be abandoned. It was last updated 2 years 0 months ago and tested up to WordPress 5.2.11.

    Thanks
    JP

I’m getting the same thing. I’ve switched over to Better Search and Replace. Works just as good if not “better” ??

Any word on this, have this plugin on a good few sites and Wordfence is warning that it’s abandoned

    Hello @bueltge @inpsyde,

I know you’re busy with other stuff, but why abandon this (used to be) popular plugin?

The plugin is not in my, our focus because the current solution is far from our specifications in goal. There are other plugins with the same functionality that close this gap in the plugin directory.

So we will check to close the maintenance and leave a hint at the plugin. Maybe any other peoples will maintain them, it is open source.

    Thanks for the reply @bueltge.

That’s a pity, I carefully looked at other similar plugins before I chose yours. Yours exceeds in functionality of the others.

It does what it needs to do and I haven’t discovered any issues that needs fixing. Only the ‘Last updated’ and ‘Tested up to’ tags need to be updated to make it active again in the WP repository.

    Thanks
    JP

Do you think it is still safe to use it?
I think it is still the best WordPress-Plugin for searching and replacing on the market.
