• After I activate the achievement plugin it just fails to initialize. I can’t access my wp-admin page and I have to reset the plugins manually.

    Using WP 3.0.1 + BuddyPress 1.2.6 + Achievements 2.0.1

    Hi HWBGWeaver
As you’ve provided no details of the error message, I can’t help track down what the problem is. Your version numbers appear correct, I will download the theme and see if it is somehow related to it.

I will provide anything you need as long as you help me find it. Actually, when I install the plugin and try to activate it I can’t access my admin panel anymore, the blog itself appears to be working but I can’t access any wp-admin page or function, it just sends me to blank white page and I have to stop manually all the plugins to gain access ones more.

Also I would like to ask, is there any possibility to use the plugin without installing Buddy Press!?

Hi, sorry for delay replying to you.

I have tested Achievements with the software versions and theme that you provided, and it works for me (that is, it doesn’t give me any errors or kill my wp-admin screen). It’s therefore probably a plugin conflict. Can you ask your host to let you know what the error message is? It’ll be in the web server log.

The plugin will always require BuddyPress; if you don’t want to use BuddyPress, check out another plugin called CubePoints, which provides similar, though not identical, features.
