Thanks for your comment. It’s something I’ve thought about a lot, but I’m not yet convinced as to what type of items could be downloaded from a virtual store. They’d need to be applicable to all types of site. Have you got any ideas?

What I really want is to allow users to download certain files in exchange for points.

And to be applicable to all types of site…I think- Is adding some kind of code or script to the download link. On click points are deducted.

1. Last warning dialog box before points are deducted and before download start.
2. Download message when click if user don’t have enough points
3. List of items bought by the user.
4. Most popular items.

I have thought about this and I am not going to add a “virtual store”-type system to the plugin; the focus is on about rewarding and encouraging social interaction rather than facilitating a virtual currency.

It’s possible I may write an add-on plugin to do this, but I think it would be very challenging to create a user interface which is sufficiently generic to work on most themes without requiring site admins to heavily customise the templates.

Lastly I like to add that rewarding users with badges are not bad at all but what about rewarding real stuff to users?

I am a theme designer and I am little bit fed up of of giving free downloads to everyone. LOL

I am happy to hear about the possible add-on plugin.
I will be anticipating this.
