[Plugin: Ad Injection] Block visitor from specific country to see ads

  • Hi there,
    I’m using latest version of this plugin, love the feature for blocking visitor from specific IP address to see adverts, very useful for me, but to find IP address is little bit hard for me if I want to block specific country.

    Hope you include new feature to block specific country to see adverts on blog in the future version, you can use Maxmind Geolite API to trace geo location of visitor, some wordpress plugin have been use it, such as iQ Block Country to block visitor.

    Hi trxerz – you can already block by country using a few different methods.

    1. In dynamic insertion mode you can use Ad Injection with another plugin such as Country Filter to set up restrictions. See the FAQ for details: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/ad-injection/faq/

    I’ve only tested the Country Filter plugin but I’m sure you could do something similar with other GeoIP services such as Maxmind as well.

    2. You could use a service such as Google Ad Manager or OpenX Ad Server with Ad Injection to set up the restrictions.

    That’s my bad not reading FAQ thoroughly…

    I will try implement this, but still find way how to hiding element just like country filter but using Maxmind Geo Country.
