[Plugin: Ad Injection] FEATURE REQUEST – User-Specified Tag Exclusions

  • Thank you for the additional tag exclusions (div, form, ol, ul) in v1.2.0.15. Is there a reason why the table tag isn’t among those? It seems like a logical/useful addition.

    I have a few posts with tables + regular text content, and I had to completely exclude ad injection from placing random ads in them solely due to the fact that it’ll plop the ads inside the tables. The addition in v1.2.0.13 of the exclusion tags resolved that, but it would be nice to have additional flexibility in defining additional tags on top of the pre-defined 6.

    My last feature request was given the brush-off, so I’m sure this is a long-shot, but what about adding a user-definable list of exclusion tags?

    Hi MomDad, The only reason I didn’t put the table tag in this time is because I didn’t think of it!

    That’s a really good idea and I’ll definitely add the table tag in the next version. Are there any other tags that would be useful?

    About your last request – I wish I could implement all suggestions, but due to limited time I can only do selected ones. This one I can do very soon as it is a good idea and will only take a few minutes. Your other suggest I can’t do at the moment – it is a good idea, but it is a lot more complex. It may still get done – but it won’t be soon.

    The next update with the table exclusion will probably be in a few weeks time.
