This error can be caused if:

    – JavaScript is turned off
    – /wp-content/plugins/add-functions/codepress/codepress.js file is not loaded with text options page.

I have the same problem and my JavaScript is enabled.
    I’m using WP 3.4.2.

    What broser do you use?

Are there any error notifications in browser log or console.

Hi thanks for coming up with a plugin to insert function code.

I have the same problem. Text area is not writable.
I work with Safari 5.1.7 and encounter the next errors in the javascript console.

    In php.js line 6

    ReferenceError: Can’t find variable: Language

    codepress.js line 28

codepress.js:28TypeError: ‘undefined’ is not an object (evaluating ‘self.editor.body = self.contentWindow.document.getElementsByTagName(‘body’)[0]’)

Beside that, I run my WP Dashboard via SLL the plugin doesn’t respect that and tries to load over http unencrypted which throws a couple of extra error.

Hope you’ll be able to fix this.

    Thanks, Bart
