[Plugin: Add Local Avatar] two users, both

    How does the plugin match identity? I presume that if a user is logged in, it matches that user_ID with the local avatar photo that this user has uploaded.

    I have a strange bug where two particular users, who both use the same computer, log in and one of the users’ photo gets used for both of their identities (comments & posts), but in the admin and on the front end.

    If they switch and the other logs in, then the other photo gets used for both.

    The two users have different registered email addresses and username, obviously. I can’t figure this out. It appears that they are the only two users where this is happening.

    Same here, both users get the same avatar even when they clearly have different info and obviously different IDs. Also, it is not my case of having both users using same computer as @electrolund said.

    The email address is used. As WordPress forces these to be unique for each user I do not see how the effect you describe is possible. If it persists, i.e. you are sure it is not the fault of some other plugin or cache problem, please post a link to an example…

    ZilverDragOn, with your two users, did they at one time have the same email address?

    I discovered that in my example, these two users were both created a number of years ago, pre-dating WordPress’ requirement that users have unique email addresses (I’m guessing that was historically the case?). I inspected both of these and found that they both had the same email, which should be illegal.

    I changed one of my user’s email to something unique, but the local avatar still wanted to follow both users.

    I never did resolve this, but I haven’t looked at it in a while. I will take another look and let you know, peterwsterling.
