Plugin Add New page not working

  • I have a new site, fresh install of WordPress, and the Add New Plugin page cannot seem to find the directory. I can upload a new one from my computer with no problem. The plugins pages works fine. But the page that show the WordPress Plugin Directory just states “An error has occurred”. Any ideas?
