Plugin adding links to single images on page

When adding this plugin, the link works just perfectly for galleries. However, that link is being added to a page where an image might be used outside of a gallery, despite the image have “None” selected for the link.
What do I need to do to avoid having the gallery link overwrite the “add media” box?
