    Hello team

When I watermark an image using this plugin does this add a query string like (?v=1620031114) at the end of the image url?

However If I disable the plugin it seems the query string is removed from the image url but the watermark is still there.

The problem I am having is I am using “Advanced Order Exports (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/woo-order-export-lite/ )” plugin.

It is not able to export the images which have query strings at the end which it seems are being added by this plugin. Can anything be done about this? Regards

    Hello,

This string is added for cache reasons. Since some users had a problem with that, we added an option to disable “Cache busting” in the Easy Watermark settings.

Disabling or deleting the plugin does not cause removing the watermark. If you want to remove the watermark, you should do this while the plugin is enabled, or try to manually restore your images.

    Hello

    Thanks for the reply.

    From the plugin

This feature will add version parameter to image file url. This will prevent browser from using cached image.
Without this option turned on browser might display original image which was cached before instead of the watermarked one.
Turn this off only if it causes problems in your environment (e.g. images do not show at all).

Does the plugin add a static version parameter to the image or it changes everytime the image is loaded?

You have mentioned that We should turn this off only if there is some problem. Apart from the old image without watermark being displayed (which I think can be solved if cache is deleted) are there any other reasons as well why We should not turn this off? Regards

The version parameter is static, it changes when something in a given image changes (the watermark is added, backup restored).

There is no other reason, but you should be aware that every user of your website also has a cache in their browsers that cannot be remotely cleared by you, so there is a risk that although your images will have a watermark added, they will be displayed in old versions for someone else’s.
