[Plugin: Admin SSL] Odd Redirecting Issue with Shared SSL
-
This seems like it should work as others aren’t having problems, but sadly I am. In fact, this issue just seems odd.
Here’s step-by-step of what I did (Admin SSL is already activated):
– Logged into Administration
– Clicked “Plugins”
– Clicked “Admin SSL”
– Checked “SECURE MY SITE WITH SSL”
– Checked “USE SHARED SSL”
– Entered my URL (ex. https://ssl.hosting.com/mysite.com/wp-admin/)
– Added “wp-admin/” to “Additional URLs”.
– Clicked “Save Changes”After doing all of this, the strange stuff starts happening. When clicking on a link, I’m redirected to “https://ssl.hosting.com/mysite.comadmin/” (notice it drops the “/wp-” portion of the URL).
To test this further, I reset Admin SSL and decided to not add “wp-admin/” to “Additional URLs” and see if I could access the login page securely. When attempting to log out of the Admin to log back in, once again, I’m redirected to a improper address of “https://ssl.hosting.com/mysite.comlogin.php/?action=logout”.
Through both methods, it appears the “/wp-” portion of the URL keeps getting dropped. Now, my install of WordPress is at the root and not in a subdirectly (like “/blog”). I’m not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I’m sure it’s a detail that’s needed to be known.
Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
