• Hi,

Thank your for such an awesome plugin but I think there is a bug or at least that it has to do with the ajax re-loading the sitename.com/wp-admin/edit.php showing other statuses. So here is the scenario:

    1. Under Write Options – Post: you have the option to deactivate the “Quick Edit Link” for each of the available roles.

    2. For example, deactivate it for Author role, click on “Posts” link on the menu and you will see that it works perfectly at this URL sitename.com/wp-admin/edit.php; the “Quick Edit Link” is GONE and HIDDEN!

    3. However if you click on any of the post statuses for example “Published (xx)” at the top of the posts screen panel page, then hover any of the articles then you will see that the “Quick Edit Link” is again visible. The problem here as I found out is that the page is re-loaded using ajax I believe and it now displays the URL of sitename.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=publish&post_type=post (NOT /wp-admin/edit.php as in #2 above); therefore, the rule does not apply to this URL and so the “Quick Edit Link” now reappears.

Can you please take a look at this and offer a fix? You can just deactivate one of the roles and see if for yourself. Thanks so much.

    Hi,

    Just to follow up:

I know of other ways to add some code to the functions.php to completely disable/hide the “Quick Edit Link” but I would like to have the capability to hide the functionality for some of the roles instead of for everyone.

    Thanks again =).
