[Plugin: Advanced Most Recent Posts Mod] Not Using Correct Categories – not excluding

Hello, I cant get the widget to show links to recent posts only from certain categories. I want to exclude some.
I pasted all the slugs (comma separated) into the categories field of the widget control panel…
what am I not doing right?
