[Plugin: Advanced Permalinks] Messed up my permalinks

  • Tried this on my localhost on WP 2.7.1.
    Was a mistake to do so.

    Now some of my categories get 404 errors and I cannot revert to my original permalinks.

  • same thing happened to me. good thing i was testing it out on the test blog, or i would have a real headache now.

    i don’t recommend this plugin to anyone, or if people are really curious about it, i recommend installing a new blog and testing it out.

    solution to the problem seems to be this:

    after deinstalling the plugin and removing the files from plugins directory, go to permalink settings and simply click on ‘save changes’. it will refresh the old permalink structure.

    it’s buggy but it is working great for me… wp 2.7.1

    I am thinking about fork it and just keep the Category-specific permalinks without the extra features.
