[Plugin: Advanced Random Post Thumbnails Widget] Using the plugin inside a template file

You can use nRelate (https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/nrelate-related-content/) or Linkwithin (https://www.linkwithin.com/learn) for this purpose. These two plugins are optimized for the purpose you want. On single page you should always use a related post plugin not the random post. I like nRelate better than Linkwithin as linkwithin create a linn on their site and give a redirect so it not give u the link juice (as far as know but i may be wrong).
