    Hi,

Just installed Advertising Manager on my test environment and experiencing a few problems..

I created my first (large) ad using Advertising Manager, pasted in the google code and imported. No problems – the ad appeared beneath my post on the front page as expected. The problems started when I deleted this first ad and then created a new, smaller one.

The first (larger) ad still appears and not the smaller ad. Even though the Preview displays the latest, smaller ad.

I deleted all ads but still the original ad appears at the bottom of the homepage page.

I deactivated the plugin but no! the first ad still appears!

During the ‘edit ads’ process, (‘Name’ column) the ad numbers do not seem to be resetting, as every time I try to create a new ad, the last ad number is displayed.

Is there a database clean I can do to get rid of this ad? I’ve looked everywhere to see what files the plugin affects but cannot see where I can remove the remnents of the plugin – does anyone else have a solution to this?

    Many thanks,

    Craig

  • Craig,

To do a ‘database clean’, there is no automated way to do it, but if you have access to your database it is relatively straightforward:

    1. Go to your wordpress database, in the wp_options table.
    2. Find the row were the option_name = plugin_adsensem
    3. Delete this row.

This will purge all data from advertising manager.

Note that the next version of Advertising Manager, v4.0, (release date will be at the end of May 2009) will store information in a number of rows in this table. All of the rows start with ‘plugin_advman’.

    Cheers,
    Scott
