• So I set up Advertwhirl to run 300×250 ads on my posts in between pragraphs. So far so good. Now I want to be able to skip the posts in which the big ad will not fit well with the layout. I have pics in some which will interfere with the ad such as:
    https://www.10in30.com/?p=1769

See how the ad messes with the pic next to it and we end up with a tiny column of text on the right? So I set up a Rule that says if the post has a tag: ad10 then it shouldn’t match and therefore, theoretically not display an ad. But it does.

Here’s a pic of my Rule settings:

I would then make a Rule that says to only display ads after the 10th paragraph if they have the tag ad10.

Any ideas how to make that work?

WOW 5 months have gone by?? LOL
still haven’t figured out how the hell the rules work. I mean, they don’t work.

    If I tell it:
    Match a tag Post/Page is not “m”

then if a post is tagged “m” it shouldn’t display an ad, RIGHT?

Well it does display on every page/post regardless of the tag.

    I tried “is a” “m”

and it just displays on every page/post again. Anyone get the rules to work??

You’re not alone. I tried doing a rule based on the author and it ignored it. I had another authors ads displaying on posts that he didn’t write. The plug-in was working great till I needed to use rules. Guess it’s back to searching for one that works…bummer.
