[Plugin: Ajax Event Calendar] Events don't fill full width of calendar cell

I have installed the ajax event calendar and added all the events on the backend. However when I look at the front end, visually the events do not fill the entire width of the calendar cells, and are squished and cut off on the sides. Any ideas? I’m not super fluent in css. Currently using the Sunny Blue Sky theme.
