[Plugin: AJAXed WordPress] Thematic AJAXd WordPress = mayhem

  • I’m using a vanilla install of the Thematic theme on my website. A few minutes ago I installed the latest version of the AJAXd WordPress plugin on the same site, which resulted in pages not properly loading. When I clicked in a link to ether a page or blog entry, it looked as though the entire site was being loaded in the content area, but only the header of the requested page.

    Also, activating the plugin resulted in my permalinks doing strange things.

    I wish I had more info about the issue to give, but I do not. If I can be of assistance in isolating the problem, let me know.

  • I have this listed as a known issue in the ThemeShaper Forums under This Plugin doesn’t work with Thematic. I mean to get to it before the 0.7 release.

    Ah, I’m tired of this error. I’m dealing with it right away. ??

    I’ve sent off an email to the plugin admin to see if it can be resolved. I suspect it has to do with Thematic using jQuery to control the sliding-admin-meta-thing. We’ll see what can be done about it.

    I’ve fixed this in the trunk version. You’ll see the change in the next release (unless you’re checking it out with subversion). It meant removing the sliding-meta-panel-thingy but that had become a bit of bloat anyway.

    I just installed the trunk version on my blog, and it seems to be working well. However, AJAXed WordPress is not. Among other things, it is doing crazy stuff with the URLs on my site. At least full pages will load now!

    Anyways, thanks for your help.
