• I have no idea what happened or how to fix this. I was going along, entering events, and I tried to go back to view All Events. I got the message “HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.”
I cannot view the All Events page in wp-admin. I can view all the other pages, but All Events just gives me the 500 error.
Please help a WordPress newbie! I tried deactivating the plugin, renaming the all-in-one event calendar folder, and re-installing the plugin, but now I have two of the same plugin: one active and one not. I still get the error. I’m at my wits end. I don’t want to re-create all the events I’ve entered.

Too late. I deactivated the “new” plug-in and uninstalled it.

I renamed the old folder back to the proper name, and activated the original plug-in. All my events were gone!

I “wisely” had exported all my events to an ics file through Outlook, thinking I could use this if this happened. When I imported the events, they end up with no content, no categories, no tags, no nothing–just tiles and dates. Useless.

I’m having my host restore the backup from yesterday, so I’m going to lose all the work I did today. Does anyone have an idea what might have happened, and what I should have done differently?

    Hi Bryan,

On one front, ics files do not carry over categories and tags as those are not in the ics spec.

If you ever need to do this again, delete the files without uninstalling. Make sure you also delete wp-content/themes-ai1ec and copy the new files over to the plugin directory. Then reactivate the plugin.

Did the reinstall fix the 500 error at least?
