    Hi there,
I installed your plugin in version 1.2.4 and I’m thrilled, its exactly what I was looking for. Just this little problem:
I add an event, which is displayed in all views (month, week, agenda), I can expand and collapse the view. But if I click on “Details”, I just get an almost blank page, with only the event title displayed, not the information and google maps.
I can view the details, if I go to the event using this link: ?ai1ec_event=ah-training&instance_id= without an instance_id-number. As soon as there is a number following (which seems to be the default and necessary for repeated events) ?ai1ec_event=ah-training&instance_id=3 I just get this blank page. (testlink https://test.mm13.de/?ai1ec_event=ah-training&instance_id=3)
Are there any hints for me?
    Greetings
    Mana

  • In permalink, I have custom structure checked with /%postname% as the setting. Saving did not change anything.
    Any other ideas?

Just wanted to add in that I’m having a similar problem. I tried changing the permalinks both in events-helper (suggested here- though i have no idea what i was doing), as well as through the dashboard. I also have the latest upgrades (plugin & wordpress), https://miamipraxis1.com/calendar-2/

I wonder if some folks are mixed up on the permalink though: If i hit refresh, or visit the same page twice, the details show. Perhaps people are just doing that, and the permalink doesn’t matter?

Otherwise, I’m not sure what to do! But, i’m in love with this plugin, its central to my site. Thank you for your work, let me know if you have any ideas on how i can fix this.

We are trying to fix the same problem.

We are using the RT-Theme 9 1.0.8 by Tolga Can and none of the events will show up. Click here to view calendar.

None of the events will show on the calendar.

    Yani,

Hi, again. I’m sure you got my email letting you know that I LOVE the work you did. Wonderful, wonderful!

I do have “just” one, little question. (Isn’t that what everyone says? LOL.) I did browse the whole website, and everything seemed terrific after your work. I didn’t think to try, say, changing any of the colors of things like the DONATE button or the background color for the slider. These are both defined in the Option Tree. Dummy me, right?

In any case, this came up today because there’s a reason to change the second color on the DONATE button to purple. When I go to Option Tree, one of the selections on the Dashboard, and click in the text line that has the hex code for the color, this used to bring up the colorpicker. Now, nothing happens. Also, I used to be able just to type in a new hex color code and hit save changes. Now, nothing is changed; it just keeps the current color, no matter what.

I can’t imagine how this has to do with your work, yet I never had a problem with changing this before. Can you think of how this would be connected?

    Thanks again for everything,
    Susan

I wanted to add that we are using the 3.3.1 with the 1.4 version of the plugin. The symptoms look alot like the others where viewing a new event yeilds only the header and no content. The additional issue is that none of the events are updating on the calendar at all.

After following the various steps from the beginning of this thread, I have ultimately modified the app/model/class-ai1ec-event.php file with the contents of your paste. After looking at the single.php file, it “seems” like it may be the way it handles posts, however I am having a bit of trouble interpreting how the code is ultimately functioning with the plug-in. I hope that this fills in most of the backstory.

Thanks! Looking forward to any help you can provide.

Coming in late to the thread, what are the <meta> tags in your theme? Can you copy those out of your header file and put them in pastebin?

    Nelra,

I was gone for two weeks. Sorry for the delay.

Can you repeat your request in English for those of us who are new to WordPress and CSS? Thanks.

    Hi there
    Plugin version: 1.5
    Wordpress version: 3.3.1.

I just got a website handed to me with the theme Academica and I can only be characterized as a newbie by any standard. I just love this plugin as it has all the features I want but have an issue.

the website is still under construction but one should be able to see the frontpage at https://www.bia-bss.dk where I have listed a test-event on the right side. I get blank page when I click the event:
    Try this link: https://bia-bss.dk/ai1ec_event/company-visit-test/?instance_id=1

I did try to open texteditor, copy paste in the code suggested by yani and created the file and gave it the suggested name. Nothing happend automatically so I’m in doubt whether I missed something or my issue is not identical to the rest of ya. Could someone confirm that this issue is similar to the others?

    @shrmn
I have tried the suggestions from your post and still no success. It continues only to load my top menu partially and stops.

    My theme is:
    https://www.wpzoom.com/themes/academica/

I’ve tried a similar problem with another calendar event plugin and is quite frankly frustrated. I would deeply appreciate any help anybody may be able to offer as me + my more computer savvy friends have failed to solve the issue.

You know I struggled with this all morning. Added my event but kept getting the Fatal error message not finding ID etc etc. In the end I went to a colleagues machine – and they tried it no problem. The difference? I was using Internet Explorer and they were using Chrome. As soon as I tried it with Chrome everything worked beautifully and my events added. So those of you with this problem who are using IE switch to another browser and try it.

I get the same issue too. All the event details page does is show the title. The actual page is smaller in width than normal pages and the footer is also messed up and the same smaller width. Seems like the PHP code somewhere doesn’t finish writing out a statement. Wish I knew more to track down specifically where it is. Thinking about trying out 1.8 beta RC2…

Hey Guys.. I met the same problem and now it is solved.
For me, the problem is because of permalinks.
The permalink I had before the problem was /%category%/%postname%/

    as the event page’s link is https://ursite.com/ai1ec/event_name/eventid=&#8230;
WP seems to assume ‘ai1ec’ as a category.

now I changed the permalink to just /%postname%/ and it works for me.

but even though it works, you have to sacrifice the feature of ‘permalink’, but for me loosing permalink for the sake of this plugin to works is okay.

@yani – your dedication is great. I appreciate your support ( I read the full thread and I found your part is inevitable)
    Keep up the Good work.
