  • I’m having the same problem with the “Ai1ec_File_Not_Found” error. Totally shut down the admin panel. I deleted the folder through FTP and loaded the file from the website, but the same problem resulted. I assume it’s a conflict with the theme, as you mentioned above.

    I’m running a self-made theme, and I’m afraid I don’t know enough about WP and php yet to know how to make the theme allow support for custom post types or to know if it even currently does… Yep, I’m a n00b, but I’m a quick study (only been doing this for 3 days — I’m a convert from ASP.net).

    Do you have any suggestions to fix this issue? Links to relevant articles are good, too, to keep from derailing this thread with detailed instructions on fixing my theme to work with this plugin.

    The line
    add_theme_support( 'post-formats', array( 'aside', 'gallery' ) );
    in the functions.php should allow support for custom post types, no?

    Like I said, I’m a bit of a n00b, but if this is the case, I don’t think that this is the cause of my problem since that line is there. Are there other things in the theme that would cause this error?

    Ok… I figured it out.
    1. Delete ALL ai1ec related files (especially wp-contetn/themes-ai1ec) via FTP.
    2. Download the new version (vi.8.3 right now) from the time.ly website.
    3. Right-click the folder, and go to Properties. On the Security part on the bottom, click “Unblock.”
    4. Now, extract the files and upload them to wp-content/plugins via FTP.
    5. Navigate to your dashboard – domain/wp-admin.
    6. Activate the plugin.

    This works for the “Ai1ec_File_Not_Found” error above.
