That’s a real shame. I’ve been using this plugin for ages.

I’d love to say I’d take it on, but my PHP knowledge isn’t strong enough yet.

Any good alternatives out there?

I used to use custom fields to build title and meta tags in my theme template pages. See SEOify Your WordPress with Description & Keyword Meta Tags on designsimply.com for more info. It’s a nice method if you don’t want to be dependent on plugin updates.

wpSeo is nice but costs a little bit; maybe the HeadSpace Plugin is a good alternative..

Headspace2 looks pretty good I must say. I like the default configuration options, and it could work well on client sites.
