It is normally displayed by default in shortcode usage for all provided listtypes except list type 4 (the widget). If you have configured it off, then you need to switch it back on again in the list type settings.

If you want to switch it on/off for any list type then:

Go to the plugin settings page.
Click on the list type you want to configure.
Click open the ‘calendar properties’ section.
    Find the ‘icalrefresh’ row.
Enter a column number eg: 1. Note: 0 means no display
    Save.
Go back to your display page. Redisplay it. Should see refresh icon at top.

Finally I found with your respond but I found a bug.

First my error was that I use widget list option that you said that it don’t display the refresh.

The other thing is tha the update give me this error

    Saving….
    Error validating list options input
    AmR iCal Events List 2.9.4

    Select a list type
press “update” button… it update well
if you press “update” button again it give the error so it don’t update.

thanks for the link, I found lots of usefull information on your website

    Hi again,
You had me worried there! It seems that if one updates and then does not change anything, but presses update again, one get this message. But data has been updated from first save.

I checked wp code and in /wp-includes/ -> functions.php (source) about line 496, wordpress checks whether the option has actually changed and returns false if there is no difference.

I will change the code to more correctly reflect what is happening. It looks like you do not need to worry though – it is just that nothing has changed.
