[Plugin: Another WordPress Classifieds Plugin] email issues

I tried posting to https://forum.awpcp.com/ but the awpcp.com domain has been unavailable all day. I have seen active postings on this forum by the developer within the last 24 hours so hopefully he’s looking here!

I am having some issues with sending email with AWPCP. At some point this was working properly but it has become very strange:

The quirky thing is that some parts of the email functions are working properly – it is sending email properly from the “resend access key” form (https://fromhere.org/classifieds/edit-ad/?a=resendaccesskey) as well as the form that allows you to interact with an advertiser.

From what I can tell the plugin is set to use the wp_mail function which appears to be working properly (wordpress system emails function normally). If wp_mail fails it will try the @mail() function.

It appears that the way the functions are written, if none of these mail options work it should return an error message to the user immediately which I am not seeing.

So I am wondering if somehow the server is grabbing these messages for some reason. The forum mentions that servers will sometimes reject emails based on the “from” address. I’ve tried a couple of different email addresses with no change including one with a domain local to the server.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, let me know if you have any questions or need clarification.

Also I was able to find the email troubleshooting guide (https://www.awpcp.com/support-issues/having-problems-with-emails-not-going-out/) via Google Cache but since some portions of the email are working I don’t think these steps apply.

Any ideas or help would be terrific or any info on the status of the forums and docs site would be great I can take up the conversation there.
