Yeah, heaven forbid you actually VIEW ads, right?

Horrible idea for a plugin? No, the horrible idea for a plugin is adblock. People spend hours working on their websites to have trolls like yourself come in and try garbage like that. You should be embarrassed.

Sure, I get it, a few (few) websites have horrific ads, but that’s not an excuse to stop viewing ads alltogether. Going to a website without viewing their ads is like going into a store and walking out with whatever product they have, not paying for it. You’re STEALING from the designer, and you’re ripping yourself off from the opportunity that might just be what you’re looking for. Of course, trolls like yourself can’t do anything but complain anyways, huh

I think i understand both sides. I’m an Adblock lover (i falled in love first time i saw it..) and i’m also a web designer wich have some ads in his website.

I think this plugin is a great idea. If someone comes to your website just once it’s ok to not see the ads.. But if you came everyday or more oftenly.. Why not help de developer? Just for the time he worked in his site.. Sometimes i forgot ADblock is working so i guess whould be a nice idea to remember me that.. That the web designer have to eat also.

A person who uses an ad blocker isn’t a person who’s going to support your ads anyway and nothing you can do, even anti-adblocking, is going to change that.

People who use adblockers of any kind are a tiny fraction of the Internet population. It’s better to concentrate on those who don’t use them so that they’ll actually click on ads instead of just looking at them. I don’t know for sure, but I think the norm is 1-3% CTR. There’s already a slew of people just ignoring them ads. Consider the adblocker person as one who would otherwise ignore them.

Recent studies show that about 12% of Internet users are using ad blockers, and that a whooping 25% of Firefox users do. That’s not a fraction.
