[Plugin: AnythingSlider for WordPress] Plugin conflict

  • This is just a heads up about a potential conflict.

    I was having a hard time getting AnythingSlider for WordPress to work. Specifically, it was pulling in the slides, but stacking them without any navigation or any other slideshow design. Eventually, I found that it was in conflict with a plugin called ‘Shortcodes Ultimate.’ Once I deactivated that one, the slideshow worked fine.

    I did find, however that if I put the slide show directly into my templage with the ‘do_shortcode’ method, it worked fine even with the Shortcodes Ultimate plugin active.

    Hi Benjamingray,

    Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the plugin.

    I’ve installed Shortcodes Ultimate and found the problem. If you haven’t checked the “Compatibility Mode” option, they disable all other custom shortcodes, which breaks the AntyhingSlider for WordPress plugin.

    I’d recommend trying the Shortcode Pro plugin at CodeCanyon: https://codecanyon.net/item/shortcodes-pro-premium-plugin/178687

    “Compatibility Mode” doesn’t disable all other custom shortcodes, it’s just rename shortcodes to:
    [shortcode_name] => [gn_shortcode_name]

    thanks for the heads up. Any idea why there would be a conflict? I’m only registering a shortcode anything_slides.

    The only way I could get both to work together was by selecting the Compat Mode option
